The Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and stature within a short span of 8 years.

The Indian Management Academy was established in 2005 by Confederation of Indian Healthcare Foundation (CIHF) a non government, not-for-profit organization registered in Ahmedabad to enhance the management skills of students, groups, hospitals, government agencies, NGO organizations, environmental groups, and others in the corporate sector.
